Danubius Hotels has renovated several of its hotels, and the hotel operator will continue its planned developments and modernizations in 2024, the company told MTI.
This spring, the renewed guest rooms and spaces will be opened in three hotels: the Danubius Hotel Helia will be equipped with special suites unique in Budapest, the Danubius Hotel Annabella in Balatonfüred will have a new room type, while the Danubius Hotel Bük will welcome guests with modernized spaces and services in the wellness department.
It was announced that during the renovation work that started last autumn, another 100 premium rooms will be given a modern look at Danubius Hotel Helia in Budapest, including three new suite types, and the hotel's lifestyle apartments will have a sauna and their own fitness machine.
The renovation of Danubius Hotel Bük will see 38 rooms updated to match the modern style of the previous renovation and a new suite will be added. The hotel's wellness facilities will also be further enhanced, with a couples’ massage room, a Thai massage room and a salt cave.
The Danubius Hotel Annabella in Balatonfüred will return with a new room type in the 2024 season, with 135 premium rooms and two suites.
According to the information, the group has spent HUF 5 billion on the developments, and plans to spend more than this amount on further projects this year.
Danubius was founded in 1972 as a state-owned company, Danubius Hotels is nowowned by the British CP Holdings Ltd. The hotel group is present in six European countries: it owns and operates spa, wellness and city hotels in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania, and operates in the UK and Bulgaria. In Hungary, nine hotels are operated in Budapest and six in the countryside.
