The river cruise company Mahart Passnave has launched two new routes in the Danube Bend, north of Budapest: between Esztergom and Zebegény and on the Szentendre-Leányfalu-Tahitótfalu-Visegrád line.
Decision on the new lines was made by the company because the train replacement boat between Nagymaros and Zebegény became popular in a very short time. The replacement services started in mid-June after a rock and mud avalanche flooded the railway tracks and the road between these two settlements.
Boats depart twice a day on the shorter route and once a day on the longer route. The ticket price on both routes will be HUF 500, and the trip can be interrupted, the Hungarian news agency MTI reports.
