Hungary Reports First Two Coronavirus Cases

Two people tested positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus in Hungary. That was announced at an extraordinary press conference Wednesday evening by Colonel Tibor Lakatos, leader of the Hungarian government's operative group for coronavirus cases.  

Dr. János Szlávik, Head of the Department of Infectology at the St. László Hospital in Budapest informed journalists that two Iranian students studying in Hungary are in isolation at the special center of the St. László Hospital as they proved to be infected with the coronavirus. Also isolated at the center are the spouse of one of the infected person and the girlfriend of the other one.

Dr. Szlávik stressed that both students are in good conditions, they have mild symptoms, they do not have fever but they are under the strictest control. Both Iranians have recently returned from their home country and it is currently under investigation where they have been since their return to Hungary. They will both stay in the isolation center until they are found completely healthy by laboratory tests.
