Police Imposes Fines on Curfew Dodgers

Police took action in 256 cases regarding the night curfew on Friday and Saturday in Hungary.

Police have warned in 28 cases, imposed on-the-spot fines 168 times, and filed a report in 60 cases, the state news agency MTI quoted the spokesman of the national police force as saying. The average per capita fines were HUF 20,000.

Also in the last two days, action was taken in 262 cases of improper mask use, police officers warned in 53 cases, 143 on-the-spot fines were imposed and 66 reports were filed. Gál said police found irregularities at ten stores on Friday and Saturday that had to close the shops. These stores must be closed for a total of 102 days.
