About five hundred Hungarian soldiers have returned home from their peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan and Kosovo. The ceremony to welcome the troops back was held in, southeastern town of Hódmezõvásárhely on Friday.
In his welcoming speech, Defense Minister Csaba Hende said “these soldiers undertook their work and the inherent danger in the interest of their nation where Hungary wanted to send assistance to.
He added that the soldiers are working to make the world, including Afghanistan and Kosovo a better place than it was before, so that conditions in Hungary would also become safer.
