The British Embassy in Budapest hosted a party Thursday night on the occasion of the general elections in the United Kingdom in the Embassy building.
Guests were invited by the new Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy, Theresa Bubbear whose welcoming remarks were followed by an election analysis by political scientist Dr. Csaba Tóth, Director of Strategy at the Budapest think tank Republikon Institute.
Those invited were then treated to a buffet dinner with traditional British food and could participate in an election quiz, what's more they could cast their ballot in a mock voting before watching live news feeds from Britain as first information about the exit poll and then, the actual results began coming in.
