Olympic Champion Dies of New Coronavirus Infection

Hungarian Olympic, world and European champion skeet shooter Diána Igaly, Vice-President of the Hungarian Sport Shooting Association died at the age of 57 years of her life due to compliations of the new coronavirus infection.

The excellent skeet shooter was hospitalized for a disease caused by a coronavirus infection. The news of his death was confirmed to the state news agency MTI by László Sinka, Secretary General of the Hungarian Sport Shooting Association on Friday morning.

Diána Igaly is one of the greatest figures of Hungarian sport shooting, she won everything she could in women's skeet. She triumphed in the individual competition at the Athens Olympics in 2004, at the World Championships in Barcelona in 1998 and in Lahti in 2002, and at the European Championships in Bologna in 1991. She won Olympic bronze medalist at the 2000 Sydney Games and she slso has two world and three European team titles in addition to 22 Hungarian Championship individual titles.
