Hungary's Emese Szász won the women's individual epée fencing final at the 31st Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro while swimmer Katinka Hosszú smashed the world record to win the women's 400-meter individual medley.
Emese Szász beat Italian Rossella Fiamingo in the women's individual epée fencing final at the 31st Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro this Saturday to win the first gold medal for the Hungarian team made up of 160 athletes altogether.
A couple of hours later (and in the early morning hours in Hungary), world champion Katinka Hosszú clocked 4 minutes 26.36 seconds to break the world record and finish almost five seconds ahead of Maya DiRado of the United States with Spain's Mireia Belmonte coming in third.
