External Trade Surplus in Goods in Hungary

The value of exports in EUR terms was 10% and that of imports 3.8% higher in February 2023 than in the same period of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reports.

The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 749 million. Compared to the previous month, the level of export in goods increased by 3.4% while that of import decreased by 4.0%.

In February 2023:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 12,632 million (HUF 4,890 billion) and that of imports to EUR 12,119 million (HUF 4,703 billion).

The surplus of the external trade in goods was EUR 513 million (HUF 187 billion).

The share of EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 78% in exports and 68% in imports.

In February 2023 compared to a year earlier:
The value of exports increased by 10% and that of imports grew by 3.8% in EUR terms.
