Florin Plc., a manufacturer of disinfectants, cleaning agents and cosmetics products, is improving its logistics system and building a new automated warehouse with an investment of HUF 1.6 billion - with support from the European Union.

Attila Barta, the company's CEO, said at the groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday that half of the costs of the project, which will be completed by next spring, will be covered by EU and national funding.

The new warehouse is the final stage of the company's five-stage site development program. In recent years, Florin Plc. invested HUF 6 billion to modernize its production capacity. However, the company does not have a finished goods warehouse, products coming off the production line cannot be stocked locally, they are shipped to a logistics partner and packaging materials are stored in rented warehouses near the site, he said.

With the current investment, a warehouse of more than 3,000 square meters will be built by the end of the year, and the 15-meter-high building will be able to store 5,000 pallets of partly hazardous materials. The goods will be moved by self-propelled forklift trucks linked to the material flow and company management systems. The development will reduce the company's costs and improve its competitiveness," the manager stressed.

Florin Plc, a privately owned Hungarian company based in Szeged, established 66 years ago as a limited liability company and turning into Plc. in 1992, is one of the leading manufacturers of disinfectants, cleaning products and cosmetics on the Hungarian market. In addition to disinfectants and hygiene products, it also manufactures men's and women's cosmetics, hair and foot care products and household cleaning products under its own brand names, as well as well-known cosmetics and cleaning products on behalf of brand-owning companies.
