August 4, 2023

The week of the Sziget Festival is the busiest time for flights to Hungary, according to booking data collected up to July 28 this year, the business news portal Napi.hu points out.

Booking data submitted via Kiwi.com, the Czech travel technology company's web platform, shows that, as in 2022, the United Kingdom will be the country with the most party-goers for the week of August 8, ahead of Israel, France and Ireland.

Two thirds of visitors spend six days or less in Hungary and pay an average of EUR 163 for their flight, but booking figures show that one in four visitors extend their stay and spend a total of 1-2 weeks in Hungary.

It is interesting to note, the business news portal says, that even people from neighboring Slovakia and the Czech Republic are flying in, but, of course, this year, we will also see people from further afield, from the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil and even India.
