From September 2025, Gabriella Bábel will take up the position of managing director at Microsoft Hungary, the company has announced on its website.
Over the past decade, Gabriella Bábel has held senior commercial management positions at Microsoft in Hungary and regional roles, and in 2018, she was also acting managing director of the company for almost a year. She graduated as a computer engineer and also holds an MBA degree.
Péter Szabó, the current managing director of Microsoft Hungary, has decided to leave the company and continue his career outside of Microsoft.
A statement by the company points out that in recent years, Péter Szabó has played an important role in strengthening Microsoft's position in the domestic market in the areas of generative artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and social responsibility. His leadership has left a lasting mark on the company's operations, driving change at a strategic level, supporting collaboration between teams, and creating a workplace culture based on trust that has fostered growth. His results-oriented approach will continue to be a defining feature at Microsoft Hungary in the future.
