As of October 1, Gyula Marik will serve as chairman of the board of directors at Shell Hungary Plc. in addition to his existing position as regional procurement manager, the company announced to MTI on Monday.
Gyula Marik began his career in finance at Shell in 2001 after graduating from the University of Szeged. Over the past two decades, he has held regional and management positions and has been a member of the board of directors of Shell Hungary since 2016.
He has been actively shaping the region's commercial and supply strategies as head of procurement for Central and Eastern Europe since 2014, and has also represented the company on the board of directors of the Hungarian Hydrocarbon Stockpiling Association (MSZKSZ) since 2021.
Gyula Marik replaces Andrea Solti, who is leaving the energy company after more than 32 years.
