MVM Optimum, a member of state-owned energy group MVM, has built a solar park in Vác (north of the capital) at the site of a local company, Zollner Elektronik, MVM said in a statement on Friday.
The solar park has capacity to generate 1.5 GWh of electricity per year, supporting Zollner Elektronik's sustainable operation.
The state-of-the-art facility is a new milestone in corporate energy development and a good example of how renewable energy investments can help industrial players stay competitive, they wrote.
According to the announcement, MVM Optimum develops energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. The company offers solar panel and energy storage systems to both business and residential customers, according to its website.
MVM Optimum had revenue of HUF 1.8 billion last year, MVM said in the statement.
