4iG Group, Ericsson: 5G Network in North Macedonia

One Macedonia Telecommunications, the North Macedonian unit of Hungary's 4iG Group, has signed an agreement with Sweden's Ericsson on the rollout of a standalone 5G mobile network in the country, the Hungarian communications technology company 4iG said in a statement.

Ericsson will be the exclusive technology partner in the EUR 100 million investment.

The first urban 5G coverage will be ready by the spring of 2027, and North Macedonia will have nationwide coverage by 2033.

4iG Group and Ericsson signed a memorandum of understanding on the partnership in September.
