Battery manufacturer EVE Power Hungary Ltd. has officially joined the Hungarian Battery Association (HUBA). With this move, the company has reaffirmed its earlier commitment to dedicate the year 2026 to strategic partnerships, with a focus on research and development, regulatory dialogue and enhancing public education.

EVE Power Hungary’s recruitment drive in Debrecen (E Hungary), launched in January, is currently in full swing. The company aims to expand its team with 400 new employees by the end of 2026, thereby laying the groundwork for the safe launch of future manufacturing processes. They are primarily seeking technicians, engineers, and administrative professionals for their 45-hectare facility, which will operate as a supplier to the BMW Group. Through this recruitment drive, the company aims to prepare for production and establish stable operational processes, relying heavily on the local and regional workforce. The company is committed to the local workforce, as evidenced by the fact that 93% of its current employees are Hungarian citizens.

“2026 is the year of partnerships for EVE Power. We intend to be present in Hungary not merely as a technology investor, but as a long-term, responsible partner. Joining HUBA is crucial, as this platform provides the framework for industry knowledge sharing and supporting social dialogue,” according to Dr. Ádám Kovács, Head of Public Relations at EVE Power Hungary.

As Dr. Péter Kaderják, Executive Director of HUBA put it, “it is a welcome and highly significant development for the leadership and membership of the Hungarian Battery Association that EVE Power, one of the world’s largest and most innovative battery companies, has decided to join our association. Since its inception, the Association has been working to establish an environmentally sustainable domestic battery industry value chain that generates high domestic added value. “We are delighted that, in the future, the innovative and dedicated colleagues at EVE Power will also be our partners in this forward-looking professional endeavor.”
