In August 2026, construction output volume, based on both raw and working-day adjusted data, was 21.9% higher than a year earlier. Among the main construction groups, output in the construction of buildings decreased by 9.6%, while that of civil engineering doubled (+102.4%). Based on seasonally and working-day adjusted indices, construction output was 14.0% higher than in July 2026.
In August 2026, compared to the same month of the previous year:
Output in the two main groups of construction changed oppositely, output in the construction of buildings decreased by 9.6%, while that of civil engineering doubled, i.e. increased by 102.4%.
Among the divisions of construction, output in the construction of buildings declined by 4.8%, while output in civil engineering increased by 183.6%. Output in specialized construction activities, having the largest weight within construction, was 6.0% lower than a year earlier.
