B+N Group Expands by Acquiring German Firm

The facilities management company B+N Referencia Plc. has announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange signed an agreement to acquire KÖBERL Group. B+N has thus acquired a qualified majority stake in one of Germany's leading providers of facility management and building services.

With nearly 28,000 employees in eight countries, B+N Referencia Plc. is the leading facilities management company in Central and Eastern Europe, and the acquisition in Germany is another important milestone in the company's successful international expansion.

Founded more than 120 years ago and headquartered in Aschheim-Dornach near Munich, the KÖBERL Group is one of the best-known facility management and building services companies in Germany. With around 600 employees, the KÖBERL Group offers comprehensive solutions for operators of residential, commercial and industrial properties. Thanks to its quality services and customer focus, the Group has become the leading full-service provider in the German market.

The partnership between the Gimv private equity fund and KÖBERL Group started in 2020, after which the parties made significant investments to expand and strategically develop the company and to digitize it. Organic sales growth was also supported by acquisitions to broaden the service portfolio, with a strong focus on repeat customers and orders in business development.

The agreement under which B+N Referencia Plc. acquired a qualified majority stake in KÖBERL Group was signed on December 17, 2024. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2025.
