A rolling shop retail trade concept named ‘Campus Regius’ to distribute food products to people in small villages southwest of Budapest proved to be the winner among projects prepared by groups of 17-18-year-old students who participated in a 20-week entrepreneurship training program in Budapest. The other three concepts having qualified for the final included a pellet utilization company, a cancer hospital for children and a private kindergarten. The prize for the winning team of seven youngsters is a trip to the United States.
Organized by the ‘With well-trained youth for the future! – MICE program foundation”, the course features topics like the foundations of conducting business, the ethical and moral considerations in decision-making, the identification of business opportunities and consumer needs, the process of market analysis, ownership, relationship with the employees, start-up equity, accounting, cash-flow, technological and human aspects, strategic planning or the building of sustainable competitive advantage.
MICE stands for the non-profit foundation Meszaros International Center for Entrepreneurship, which concentrates on delivering ethical entrepreneur training programs to high school students. It was set up by retired Hungarian-born American businessman László Mészáros who wishes “to return something” to his native Hungary by teaching the essentials of entrepreneurship to young Hungarians.
