Corvin Innovation Campus, developed as an extension of the Corvin Promenade, has received the WELL Core Platinum certification. Futureal was the first in Hungary to commit to applying the WELL Building Standard, which ensures human-centric building design, and has added nearly 150,000 sqm of WELL-certified office space to the Hungarian market over the past four years.
The WELL Core Platinum certification is one of the world’s most stringent and prestigious building rating systems, prioritising healthy, people-focused work environments. The certification confirms that the design and construction of the building are centred around enhancing occupant wellbeing through key factors such as air and water quality, natural light, physical activity, and mental health. The first WELL-certified office building in Hungary was also a Futureal development—Corvin Technology Park, completed in 2021. This was followed by the two phases of the Advance Tower on Váci utca, Budapest ONE near Kelenföld Railway Station, and now, Corvin Innovation Campus.
Located at the corner of Szigony utca and Tömő utca, the next-generation office building meets all the criteria of the WELL Building Standard™. As a result, air and water quality, as well as acoustics, are closely monitored, and lighting has been designed to meet WELL standards. Calming colours and nature-inspired materials were used throughout the interior walls. A multifunctional “WELL Room” has been created for relaxation and community building. The spacious lobby features a unique undulating wooden ceiling, an infinity-shaped sculpture made of copper ribbons, and a dedicated WELL Library. The internal courtyard includes a raised-bed kitchen garden for tenants, complemented by herbs, fruit trees, and berry bushes, further reinforcing the health-conscious, nature-oriented environment.
Employees working in the building benefit from all the amenities of Corvin Promenade, with a wide range of retail, fitness, and dining services within arm’s reach. The pet-friendly office building, located near a metro station, is easily accessible by public transport. Cyclists are welcomed with an increased number of bike racks, dedicated showers, and lockers. A café also enhances the convenience and comfort of visitors.
The 16,650-sqm development is also among Hungary’s most energy-efficient office buildings, with an A+; A+ energy rating, and it is also home to the new headquarters of IBM Hungary. Designed and implemented to meet the expectations of tenants sensitive to energy costs, the nine-story sustainable office building features nearly contactless technologies throughout.
Before the main entrance, a public memorial park has been established, named after the acclaimed Hungarian actress Irén Psota. This unique community space has revitalised the surrounding area of Szigony utca and was designed to be a worthy continuation of the internationally recognised, award-winning Corvin Promenade. Sculptures such as Gömböc, Dual, and Triptichon, previously installed along the Promenade by Futureal, subtly guide visitors toward the Psota Irén Memorial Park.
