Ferzol Plate Machining Ltd., based in Tápiószőlős, SE of Budapest, has completed a capacity expansion investment of more than HUF 2.3 billion with EU support in Szolnok, E Hungary. The company decided to implement the technology development and capacity expansion investment due to the continuously growing demand.
Ferzol won a HUF 996 million non-refundable grant from the European Union under the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Program (GINOP).
The primary objective of the project was to improve the company's supplier capabilities by expanding production capacity and setting up a new production site.
The investment included the construction of a new sheet metal working hall with a useful floor area of more than 3,200 square meters in Szolnok, the acquisition of various edge bending machines with a higher level of automation and a punching-laser cutting machine.
In addition, professional training was organized for the company's staff, and organizational development consultancy was provided.
According to the company, the development has resulted in a 10% increase in capacity in CNC machining (cutting, bending). The use of modern machines allows the optimization of production processes, they said.
Ferzol Ltd. employs 538 people. Its net profit was more than HUF 1.13 billion last year and almost HUF 829 million in 2019.
Its net sales exceeded HUF 13.18 billion last year, up from HUF 9.78 billion a year earlier. Within this, export revenue was HUF 6.38 billion in 2020 and HUF 3.88 billion in 2019.
The company exports products to Austria, Brazil, Germany, India and Mexico.
