According to a government resolution published this week in the Hungarian Gazette, the northeastern Hungarian region involving the city of Debrecen, the town of Hajdúszoboszló, the Hortonágy National Park area ((Europe's largest semi-natural grassland) and the Lake Tisza reservoir (Hungary's largest artificial lake) have been given HUF billions for development in a program lasting until 2030.
Close to 80% of the HUF 23.6 billion (appr. EUR 76 million) allocated for this program will be spent in the city of Debrecen.
