The new production hall and office building of the Hungarian family-owned textile manufacturing Naturtex Group has been completed in the southeastern Hungarian city of Szeged.
With an investment of almost EUR 12 million (over one third which is paid for by Hungarian taxpayers through a government decision) creating 150 new jobs, the company achieves a significant capacity increase, furthermore, it can ensure efficient and sustainable production in the long-term by applying state-of-the-art technologies, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency reports.
As a result of the Hungarian success story launched in 1989, Naturtex owns a 1,700-piece product range, including duvets, bedding linens and bathroom textiles, and has become market leader in Hungary, exporting their products to more than 40 countries around the world. The company's 2020 turnover was close to HUF 7.5 billion, the export ratio of which represented 85%.
Naturtex has developed its own automated feather recycling technology, for which they purchased a plant hall with more than 4,500 square meters, housing cutting edge machinery currently available in the world market. Its subsidiary, NTT Manufacturing Ltd has built a brand-new production hall of 7,000 square meters, as well as implemented the acquisition of the technology needed to produce filled bed textiles. Thanks to the investments, the total production capacity of Naturtex has increased by almost 40%.
