German material handling and crane technology specialist Sennebogen is further expanding its production capacity in Hungary.
Supported by the HIPA Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, the EUR 5 million investment in the Bavarian firm’ second Hungarian site in Litér (Western Hungary) aims at the installation of a robotic welding system, capable of assembling large-scale steel structures of up to 27 meters in length.
The project, in which 11.5 % of the costs is covered by Hungarian taxpayers through government support, will reinforce Hungary’s role within Sennebogen’s global manufacturing network. The Hungarian subsidiary, Termelés-Logistic-Centrum (TLC) Ltd. established its first production site in Balatonfüred in 1995.
The second plant in nearby Litér was inaugurated in 2023. The 29,000-square-meter greenfield facility is designed to meet increasing demand by the parent company. TLC Ltd.. manufactures steel components for various material handlers and cranes.
