The 17,000-square-meter production hall to be built in District 15 of the capital by Market Építő Plc. has reached its structural completion stage. The new hall will expand Siemens Energy's site and will be used to manufacture components for gas power plants. Construction is scheduled for completion in the last quarter of 2023, the construction company reports.
The construction of the two-story hall started in the fall of 2022, and in addition to the production area, the building will include a rooftop enclosure, a 700-sqm green roof, and a headquarters building with three levels of office space and changing rooms. In addition to the production and storage functions, the hall will also house a training center for new employees and trainees.
During the construction work, 838 tons of reinforcing steel were installed and 5,500 cubic meters of concrete were processed on site. Currently, 200 people are working on the site every day – altogether, more than 950 people have already worked on the site, including the partners involved, for a total of 150,000 man-hours.
Commenting on the ceremony, Zoltán Jasper, Technical Director of Market Építő Plc, said that "construction is on schedule, with the production hall to be completed in the last quarter of 2023." "In the new production hall, we will start manufacturing a new product, a gas turbine burner head, in 2024," Árpád Goszták, CFO of Siemens Energy Ltd. added.
