The Hungarian government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with German-owned electronic components maker Rosenberger at the inauguration of an investment at the company's base in Jászárokszállás (E Hungary) on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said in a statement.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó was of the view that the agreement, the 102nd such one signed by the government, would strengthen further the stability of the local economy.
He added that Rosenberger was spending HUF 9.5 billion to expand capacity at the base in Jászárokszállás, as well as at ones in Nyírbátor (NE Hungary) and Jászberény (E Hungary) projects. Hungarian taxpayers support the projects with HUF 1.5 billion (or over 15%) through a government decision.
Rosenberger employs about 5,000 people in Hungary. The company cooperates closely with local universities and vocational schools.
