Videoton Holding expands in Germany and the USA

The Hungarian electronics manufacturing firm Videoton Holding has signed an agreement with the owners of Limtronik GmbH, under which Limtronik GmbH, which employs 150 people in Limburg near Frankfurt, and Limtronik USA in Denver have become members of the Hungarian-owned group of companies.

According to Videoton Holding's announcement on Tuesday, the new member companies are engaged in electronic assembly (PCBA) and equipment assembly, thus their technologies are compatible with those of the electronic manufacturing (PCBA) companies in Hungary (Videoton Autóelektronika Ltd., Videoton EAS Ltd.) and Bulgaria (VEAS Bulgaria).

As the announcement explains, while most companies of a similar size and profile to Videoton have long been present on several continents, the company's flexible and high-quality services and competitive prices have so far enabled continuous growth with production sites exclusively in Eastern Europe. However, recent global trade and geopolitical shifts and changes in its customer base have now made geographical expansion desirable.

They pointed out that due to the US government's changed trade policy (protective tariffs), American manufacturing may become a prerequisite for many of their innovative European small and medium-sized partners in the short term, so the transaction is in line with retaining these customers and acquiring similar ones.

Videoton Holding Plc. is an industrial group with more than 85 years of manufacturing experience, privately owned since 1991, offering manufacturing and manufacturing-related services to industrial companies at its nine locations in Hungary and now three abroad.
