‘We help them so that they can help’ is the motto as Audi Hungaria provides support to six healthcare and social institutions in and around the city of Győr, NW Hungary to successfully fight the coronavirus.
A press release by the company says that as the largest employer in the region, Audi Hungaria plays a key role in society and, as a responsible company, it helps in crisis situations. "With our donation, we would like to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, and at the same time express our gratitude to those working in healthcare and social institutions for their work during the coronavirus epidemic," Alfons Dintner, Chairman of the Board of Audi Hungaria said. Six county institutions will receive the donation totaling HUF 100 million: the Petz Aladár County Educational Hospital in Győr, the Lifeguards for the People of Győr Foundation, the Győr General Practitioner Nonprofit Ltd., the Unified Health and Social Institution Győr, the Homeless Assist Service and the Medical Office Nonprofit Public Benefit Ltd.
At the time of the coronavirus outbreak, Audi Hungaria had already made it possible for the Győr hospital to purchase two ventilators from this amount, as well as donated special protective clothing to healthcare workers.
