The Hungarian air traffic service HungaroControl is committed to helping those in need, so at the beginning of March it organised a collection among its employees to help those fleeing the war. The company doubled the donation of around HUF 4 million, giving a total of HUF 8 million to help refugees in Ukraine through the Hungarian Interchurch Aid.
HungaroControl has long supported the work of institutions and voluntary organisations whose aim is to patronise people in vulnerable situations.
"The role of social responsibility has recently become more important, especially in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, and HungaroControl has joined several initiatives to support the work of doctors and nurses, as well as contributing to the activities of organisations that help the most vulnerable groups in society", the company's Director of Communications and Government Relations, Anita Kiss pointed out. She stressed that "providing assistance at our company is not just a programme, it is much more than that. Nothing proves this better than the fact that our colleagues are extremely committed to helping their fellow human beings."
For HungaroControl, safety is the most important value, which is why the company organised a collection among its employees in the first weeks of March 2022 to improve the difficult living conditions of refugees in Ukraine, and doubled the donations received to support the relief work of the Hungarian Interchurch Aid with a total of HUF 8 million.
Kristóf Gáncs, Director of Communications at the charity, said that "at a time when the refugees fleeing the war need all the help they can get, the cooperation that has been shown at HungaroControl is particularly valuable."
