Delivery platform Wolt has made a substantial donation of EUR 1,500,000 to support aid organisations working in the war in Ukraine. Wolt Hungary has also made it possible for users to directly support UNICEF's work to help children trapped in Ukraine or displaced by the war.
Wolt is deeply saddened by the war situation in Ukraine, particularly because the actions that have led to it run counter to the values that the company, which has a presence in 23 countries, stands for. This is why a number of measures have been taken to support those affected by the crisis in Ukraine, because sympathy is no longer enough: action is needed.
The measures taken so far:
● Wolt is donating EUR1,000,000 to humanitarian aid organisations with a strong track record in providing assistance.
● Donations from Wolt employees are matched by the company up to EUR 500,000.
● In Hungary, the Wolt app also offers users the opportunity to support UNICEF's work directly. They can choose to send a donation of HUF 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 or 10,000. In the description you can also find out what UNICEF can cover with which amount.
● Wolt Hungary staff are constantly collecting donations - food, baby care products, vitamins, disinfectants - and delivering them personally or with the help of companies to the appropriate collection centres. In addition, the company's employees volunteer their time to help relief organisations.
The company encourages everyone to stand up for peace, freedom and respect for each other. They ask everyone to help Ukrainian and Transcarpathian refugees if they have the opportunity.
