In the 2025/26 fiscal year, JYSK’s combined in-store and online sales revenue in Hungary rose by 12.7% to HUF 100.3 billion, exceeding HUF 100 billion for the first time, the Scandinavian-based retail chain said on Friday.
In Hungary, the number of customers, including online sales, rose by 6.1%, or 212,000; the company opened four new stores in the country, expanded two stores, and renovated ten, according to the announcement.
Tamás Szűcs, Country Manager for JYSK Hungary and Austria, emphasized in the press release that they are proud that their annual revenue in Hungary exceeded HUF 100 billion for the first time this year, calling it an important milestone in their operations. By opening new stores and upgrading existing ones, they are working to make their product range accessible to as many people as possible, the press release states.
JYSK’s global revenue rose by 12.9% to DKK 52.3 billion, or EUR 7 billion, in the 2025/26 fiscal year. The company opened a record 168 new stores in Europe and Africa during the fiscal year – including in several major European cities – and completed 226 store development projects. During the fiscal year, the company welcomed more than 14 million new customers across its more than 3,700 stores and online stores operating in 49 countries.
JYSK currently has more than 1,400 employees in Hungary and operates 105 stores. JYSK’s regional distribution center is located in Ecser, just outside Budapest, serving stores and online orders in seven countries. The warehouse has a storage capacity of 210,000 pallets and an annual shipping capacity of approximately 568,000 cubic meters, making it one of the largest distribution centers in Europe.
