Anilogue International Animation Film Festival

The most anticipated animation event in the Hungarian capital this fall, the 15th Anilogue International Animation Festival that illuminates the screens of two cinemas – Urania and Kino – will be held from November 29 to December 3 in Budapest.

The festival will be opened by a Chineese animated film-noir, Have a Nice Day that was banned by the Beijing autorities and so it was not allowed to be premiered on the biggest European animation festival. So the Budapest audience will be the first one to have the opportunity to watch in Europe the Tarantino-like world of the Chineese suburbs.

This year's Anilogue brings to town a packed programme. The five festival days deliver 200 short films and the premieres of 15 brand new animated feature films. One of them is the nw film of the legendary Makoto Shinkai új filmjét is: Your Name is the most widely watched animation ever in Japan.

During Anilogue the most prominent artists from all over the world arrive to meet in Budapest. Shelley Page, the international director of DreamWorks Animation will be the guest of Anilogue. He participated in the making of such brilliant animations as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Madagascar or Shrek.

Outside cinema halls the most inspired members of festival public can participate the videogame-making workshop, children can enjoy the animated concert of Makám.
