The International Festival of Nature and Environment in Hungary opens on May 27, with more than a hundred films screened in four venues. The three-day event will feature a wide range of family and cultural activities, including scientific lectures, concerts, craft and film activities and exhibitions in the Royal Castle and its park in Gödöllő, east of Budapest.
Starting in 2015, this year marks the 8th edition of the Festival, one of the largest nature and environment themed events in the country and the region.
The free-to-attend, dog-friendly festival will feature animated, documentary, short, feature and amateur films, with a special section for works from the Carpathian Basin.
The aim of the Festival's events is to showcase nature and environment conservation and the values and goals of a livable countryside through the eyes of international artists, with a special focus on those involved in education.
The Festival, in partnership with the nature and environment profession and the arts, has created a series of awareness-raising events that provide an annual opportunity to raise awareness of the state of our natural assets and their protection.
