The Danube Tower in the unique 19th-century complex Fort Monostor on the bank of the River Danube in Komárom, northwestern Hungary will host the 23rd international Mediawave Festival from Tuesday through Saturday this week.
Mediawave includes a film festival, jazz and folk music concerts, art workshops, a Csángó festival and a gastro festival. The film festival will focus on works presenting feminity, minorities and the issue of warfare. There will be 89 international films in competition and a Hungarian section presenting 76 films.
