More Hungarians study in Erasmus exchange

The number of Hungarians studying abroad under the Erasmus student exchange project in the 2011/2012 academic year increased by about 4.5% compared to the previous year. the numbers have been steadily rising over the past years.

Program coordinator Szabolcs Bokodi of the Tempus Public Foundation said on Wednesday that 4,353 Hungarians went abroad last year in the framework of this higher education program. The number of Hungarians studying abroad with Erasmus is still higher than the number of foreign students coming to Hungary but the difference is gradually diminishing, he added.
