The Diplomacy & Trade Business Club (The Club) presented the Croatian focus of Diplomacy & Trade at the residence of the Croatian Ambassador with diplomats, businesspeople and members of the Croatian community in Hungary attending the event this Thursday evening.
The
Ambassador of Croatia to Hungary, Gordan Grliæ-Radman greeted the guests as the
host of the event and thanked the staff of Diplomacy & Trade for preparing the
Croatian country focus presenting the different aspects of bilateral relations in
it.
The main
speaker of the event was travel journalist Richárd Róbert Kiss, who – based on
his own research – spoke about the perceptions of Hungarians by different peoples
around the world and the stereotypes the word ‘Hungarian’ evokes in people,
including the audience of the DT Club event who received these pieces of
information with interest.
Also
popular was the cultural part of the evening, provided by three brothers who
sang songs from southern Croatia – accompanied on guitar by the brother of the
Ambassador! Guests of the event were served food (Croatian specialties) and drinks
(Croatian and Hungarian wines as well as mineral water shipped in directly from
Zagreb).
