After almost five years in service as the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Roman Kowalski bid farewell to fellow diplomats, friends government officials and other invitees at the Gundel Restaurant this Friday before returning to Warsaw with his family.

Ambassador Kowalski thanked all those who helped his work here since his arrival in the fall of 2010. All in all, he spent some 18 years in Hungary serving the Polish foreign service in different positions.

The chargé d'affaires of the Polish Embassy in Budapest until the arrival of the new ambassador will be Minister-Counsellor Michal Andrukonis.
