Given the COVID-19 situation, the Nordic embassies in the Hungarian capital chose to celebrate Midsummer Night differently - in the form of a webinar.
Nordic light is unique. You find it in our design, in our art, in our music, in our values. This time of the year you also find it in our nature – the midnight sun – and in our way of enjoying the summer after a dark winter. This year is different. We can’t meet you in person. But that is not going to stop us from celebrating together with you, said the invitation to the event
When do Swedes dance like frogs, Finns melt in the sauna, Norwegians light bonfires and Danes scare away everything bad? All these questions were answered at the Midsummer Night web event broadcast live on the web from the Swedish Ambassador’s residence in Budapest, attended by over 800 people.
The base of the program was a panel discussion with the participation of the ambassadors of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden in Budapest with embedded cultural news.
