The Budapest Stock Exchange's share index, the BUX, closed the week at a new historic high of 101,380.77 points, up 9.53 points or 0.01%, privatbankar.hu quotes an Equilor report sent to MTI.

Total turnover fell from HUF 65.374 billion to HUF 48.255 billion on a weekly basis, with leading stocks performing mixed. Equilor Investment Ltd.'s summary sent to MTI highlighted that the BUX index set another record this week, but the previous momentum has already subsided.

They also noted that the MNB did not cause any surprises, as the central bank decided to keep interest rates unchanged at its Tuesday interest rate meeting, in line with expectations, with the base rate remaining at 6.5%. Regarding the leading stocks, they noted that OTP's target price was raised, while Mol's target price was lowered. Trigon Dom Maklerski raised its target price for OTP from HUF 31,369 to HUF 32,775, with an unchanged buy recommendation, while it lowered its target price for Mol from HUF 3,142.90 to HUF 3,110.90, with an unchanged hold recommendation.

Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley raised its 12-month target price for Mol shares from HUF 3,280 to HUF 3,440, with the recommendation remaining unchanged at equal weight. Equilor reported that OTP continued to buy back its own shares this week. The company purchased 40,723 shares on Monday, 26,102 shares on Tuesday, 42,654 shares on Wednesday, and 32,021 shares on Thursday. Masterplast published its half-year report: the company's first-half revenue was EUR 65.8 million, down 2% from the same period last year. The after-tax result for the entire half-year showed a loss of EUR 4.6 million, compared to a loss of EUR 1.7 million in 2024, mainly due to unfavorable exchange rate movements and losses at associated companies, Equilor wrote.

OTP fell 0,8% this week to HUF 28,460, with a total turnover of HUF 31.478 billion. Mol's share price rose 0.98% compared to last Friday's close, ending the week at HUF 3,080, with a turnover of more than HUF 6.741 billion. Richter rose 0.78% to close at HUF 10,280, with weekly turnover slightly exceeding HUF 6 billion. Magyar Telekom's share price fell by 0.68% to HUF 1,760, with a total turnover of HUF 2.164 billion. The BUMIX index of small and medium-sized shares closed the week down 0.59% at 9,168.14 points.
