Weekly trading volume totaled 99.81 billion forints, down from HUF 143.72 billion the previous week, as prices of leading stocks declined.
On Monday, the BUX closed with a slight gain amid favorable international sentiment, while on Tuesday, the decline exceeded one percent due to gloomy international sentiment. On Wednesday, international investor sentiment was unfavorable; crude oil prices jumped back above USD 100 due to the latest developments in the Iranian conflict, and the BUX outperformed the market thanks to Mol’s performance. On Thursday, OTP dragged down the BUX, causing it to close around 151,000 points again with a 0.33% decline. On Friday, the BUX closed the week down 0.16% at 151,272.07 points, according to Equilor Investment Ltd.’s weekly summary.
Among the leading stocks this week, Richter’s share price fell the most, by 2.73%, closing at HUF 12,480 on Friday, with weekly trading volume exceeding HUF 7.6 billion.
Magyar Telekom’s share price fell by 0.86% during the week; the stock closed at HUF 2,540 on Friday, with weekly trading volume totaling HUF 3.9 billion.
OTP’s share price fell 0.63% during the week; the stock closed at HUF 45,870 on Friday, with weekly trading volume exceeding HUF 70.4 billion.
Mol’s share price fell 0.19% during the week to HUF 5,150, with trading volume of HUF 15.8 billion. The BUMIX index of small- and mid-cap stocks fell 1.74% that is 160.99 points, closing the week at 9,114.93 points.
