With effect from December 1, Dr. János Berényi has been appointed as the President of the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency (HITA). The new leader has extensive experience in the management of companies both in the public and the private sector.
Dr János
Berényi replaces at the helm of HITA Erzsébet Dobos who is on maternity leave. Formerly,
Berényi, an economist by trade, was the top manager of firms like the Gyõr-Sopron-Ebenfurt
Railway Co. (GySEV), MÁV Hungarian Railways and the President of Hungaroring
Sport Co. Ltd.
He says his
new job is an exciting challenge mission and hopes that can contribute with his
experience to the successful implementation of tasks laid down in the “eastern
opening’ concept of the current government, especially to the higher export
performance of SMEs and to promoting the influx of foreign capital to Hungary.
