Porsche Hungária has donated an Audi demonstration car, each manufactured for educational purposes, to five vocational training institutions in the country, the head of communications of the company, Tamás Bognár, said at a press conference held in Tatabánya on Wednesday on the occasion of the handover of one of the vehicles.
According to MTI, the company would like to contribute to the education of automotive mechatronics technician students with the donation, which is worth nearly HUF 130 million. In addition to providing the cars, the company will also help in the development of teaching materials and the acquisition of modern troubleshooting and repair skills.
In addition to Tatabánya, vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art technologies were handed over to vocational training institutions in Pécs, Szekszárd, Szombathely and Vác.
The communications manager recalled that in October 2022, they opened their unique training center in Budaörs, which is also unique at international level. The Innovation and Training Center will welcome motor mechanics from all over the country.
The center will also host professional workshops, university courses and automotive conferences. In the year 2024, 2,500 training days were held, this year the number is expected to reach 2,700.
The Technical College in Tatabánya is a major educational institution in Komárom-Esztergom County, educating nearly 700 students in seven trades in six sectors.
