The University of Szeged (SZTE) has concluded a cooperation agreement with thirty secondary schools to support talent management and further education, the public relations department of the higher education institution said.
According to the press release, with the signing of the contract, the secondary educational institutions operating primarily in the South Great Plain region became partner schools of SZTE, thus their students can participate in several programs supported by the university.
Under the cooperation agreement, secondary school students will be able to take part in competence development training in preparation for higher level school-leaving exams, experiential class trips to the university, career guidance and self-awareness training, as well as scholarships.
Following on from previous practice, SZTE lecturers and students will also hold university roadshows in schools to help young people choose a career.
Successful admission of students will be supported by online and classroom-based advanced level preparation courses. The 100-hour courses are offered in mathematics, Hungarian language and literature, history, English, German, chemistry, biology, geography and IT, but other foreign languages and subjects are also available on demand and in sufficient numbers.
SZTE's partner school program also provides access to the world's largest educational platform, Coursera, for secondary school students, the press release said.
