More than 700 female students took part in the TechCsajok [‘TechGirls] career orientation event in Budapest and Debrecen, presenting the possibilities of engineering careers, the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK) has told MTI .
DUIHK has been organizing the career orientation roadshow since 2017 with the support of its member companies to promote engineering and natural sciences among girls aged 14-18 and to alleviate the labor shortage that has been experienced for years.

A total of 18 companies, mainly German, as well as the Budapest University of Technology and the University of Debrecen presented the technological and technical aspects of their activities, together with the career opportunities they offer, at the two venues, the press release said.
