The Hungarian oil and gas company Mol has made three new natural gas discoveries in the Tal exploration area in Pakistan, for which the company has now started to develop an extraction strategy, the Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Péter Szijjártó announced in Islamabad.
Mol has been present in the Pakistani market for twenty-five years, where it has invested more than USD 400 million. On its website, Mol reports that it has 365 employees in Pakistan.
The Hungarian company is the second largest producer of crude oil and propane-butane gas and the fifth largest producer of natural gas in the country.
Mol is not only active in Pakistan: in recent years, after Russia attacked Ukraine, it has also taken its share of the expansion of hydrocarbon extraction in Hungary.
