Let's Clean the Country!

The 'Let's Clean the Country' program has started in the area of the Bükk National Park Directorate in Mezőcsát in NE Hungary with tens of cubic meters of illegally dumped garbage collected and transported on the outskirts of the village.

The program aims to eliminate illegal landfills between 2020 and 2022 support the prevention of illegal dumping of waste and increase the rate of recycling.

Furthermore, the objective is to remove illegally dumped waste from forests, national parks, rivers, railway and road facilities and municipal public spaces, to clean up the environment and to prevent it from happening again.

In addition to MÁV Hungarian Railways, the road maintenance Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt., the National Water Directorate and the local governments, the state forestry companies and the national park directorates also participate in the national program.
