Accor, the world's leading hotel group, achieved a record high EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) of more than EUR 1 billion in 2023, and also closed a successful year in Hungary, the company told MTI on Friday.
Accor achieved a record high result in 2023, with EBITDA crossing the EUR 1 billion mark for the first time in its history, said Sébastien Bazin, Accor's CEO and President, according to the statement. Last year, the group achieved growth in all segments and geographies, Sébastien Bazin added.
According to a statement from the hotel group, Accor also had a successful year in Hungary, with revenue per room available for rent (RevPAR) up 36.8% compared to 2022, and occupancy reaching 65.3%, an increase of 10.2 percentage points compared to 2022.
The company opened four new hotels in Hungary in 2023 – Mövenpick BalaLand Resort Lake Balaton, TRIBE Budapest Stadium, ibis Budapest Stadium and Mercure Székesfehérvár Magyar Király – with a total of 524 rooms, increasing Accor's room count in Hungary by 13.8%. "With the opening of four new hotels, we have increased our capacity by more than 500 new rooms, and two new brands, TRIBE and Mövenpick, have entered the Hungarian market," the statement quoted Gabriella Komlósi, managing director of Accor HotelServices Hungary, as saying.
Accor currently has 26 hotels in Hungary with 4,286 rooms.
