Thyssenkrupp Steering and L&T Technology Services have entered into a strategic partnership and will jointly establish a global software development center in India, the two companies announced on Monday in Budapest.
In a joint statement sent to MTI, the two companies said that the partnership is a milestone for them in the implementation of modern automotive software solutions. The software center will be developed and operated by LTTS on behalf of thyssenkrupp Steering in Pune, India.
The center will be a hub for cutting-edge software development, with a focus on embedded systems, functional safety, and cybersecurity - areas of growing demand in the field of intelligent and connected vehicle technologies.
Thyssenkrupp Steering is a unit of thyssenkrupp AG's automotive technology business. It develops and manufactures steering systems for more than 30 million vehicles annually and has expertise in new electrical/electronic architectures and software. In Hungary, it operates development centers in Budapest, Veszprém, and Szeged, as well as a factory in Jászfényszaru.
L&T Technology Services (LTTS) is one of the world's leading engineering and technology service providers, headquartered in India, with more than 24,250 employees, 23 global design centers, 30 sales offices, and 108 innovation labs.
