The E.ON Hungária Group is building more than 120 kilometers of high-voltage transmission lines in the Transdanubian region as part of its Danube InGrid program, the company, which operates the electricity grids of the Danube region, Pest county and Budapest, told MTI on Monday.
They stressed that the total value of the investment is HUF 16.5 billion, which E.ON is implementing partly from its own resources and partly with the support of the European Union.
According to the press release, the investment in the Transdanubian region will ensure a more stable electricity supply for households in the region, reduce the risk of power cuts and promote the greater use of renewable energy in homes.
