Hungary offers a total of 87 investment opportunities in various sectors including 35 in tourism, 17 in renewable energy, 15 in IT and telecommunications to Arab investors at the 1st Arab Hungarian Economic Forum held in Budapest November 12-13.
The objectives of the two-day event organized by HITA (Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency) and the General Union of Arab Chambers (GUCCIAAC - General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture for Arab Countries) include the presentation of the Hungarian investment and business environment, the priority sectors and specific Hungarian projects inviting investments, the stimulation of investments and trade promotion.
The event this Monday was opened by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán who called this forum as part of his government's economic and political opening to the East and by GUCCIAAC Chairman Adnan Kassar who recalled the history of economic relations between Hungary and the Arab world and listed areas like water management, wellness and health tourism as great opportunities for the 200 Arab businessman attending this forum from 16 countries.
